Attribute Alignment

Performs the types of attribute alignment analysis listed below and as described in Emich, et. al. These types are also explained on the “Attribute Alignment” tab of this website. This allows researchers to better understand how patterns of lower-level attributes (e.g., team member attributes) influence higher level processes and outcomes (e.g., team performance).

Available Alignment Types

  • Average Distance
  • Force
  • Potential Energy
  • Traveling Salesman
  • Pairwise Distance

Attribute Basis Function Alignment

Performs attribute alignment by matching specific patterns of high, low, and medium levels of lower-level attributes (e.g., team member attributes) to your data. These patterns are also explained on the “Basis Function Alignment” tab of this website. Like more general attribute alignment, this allows researchers to better understand how patterns of lower-level attributes (e.g., team member attributes) influence higher level processes and outcomes (e.g., team performance).

Available Alignment Types

  • Symmetric Binary Basis Functions
  • Symmetric Trinary Basis Functions
  • Various Symmetric Combinations of Binary and Trinary Basis Functions
